Have you taken the first step already? Oh,I didn’t specify. Did you take the first step to your independence? Still didn’t get it? Are you already in college?

The place where all the fun begins or atleast the place where they all say the fun commences. I am no one amplifying the statement because I am seriously out of this discussion. My college life has given me everything except a life. The times and moments that I have survived here are in no way less than an episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi. You know there that you won’t be harmed and that who you are competing against. But trust me when I say this, You won’t be able to differentiate friends and foes. I am not lying when I say that you are bound to lose people and gain experiences, some even life-changing ones. The number of friends you make is directly proportional to the times you have made adjustments or let go of your beliefs and accepted somebody else’s. Besides, the number of foes is directly proportional to the number of reality checks you give or the times when you refuse to back down on your thoughts.

Majority rules apply everywhere but what does it actually snatch away comes under layers and is not understood well in the spark of new joy. The quote that said only the king walks alone and others move in the herd, is absolutely correct. It takes courage to tread the path alone and a lot more strength to walk the way when everybody is against it.

College teaches one a lot of things, the way one should present himself, the professionalism that sells, the work attitude that is appreciated, the behaviour that is well regarded, the language that is celebrated. But apart from all these sophisticated terms, what is learnt actually teaches you to navigate through different situations. Like do you know how to avoid someone who you have to also deal with in your hostel,do you know what is the best way to taunt someone without actually telling them, is it known to you the ways you can beat people in their own game, are you aware of the maths you have to apply while planning an event? These are the other benefits of studying at college and dealing with humans who are synonymous to aliens. Aliens because you do not know them and neither do they. The other significance of the hidden deal is the number of ways we learn how not to believe someone and yet talk to them without letting them realise. And if they realise, does it matter, no. Ignoring people and ignoring everyday activities like a pro is the best way to get your way out. The thing is, College has a lot of people, so you don’t run out of experiments. You keep hitting random dialogues or random punchlines and get their various reactions. All these actually teach about the varied human behaviours. And since the number of students is actually more and no one is going to directly come after you, until you have provoked them really hard, it is a fine place to tune oneself to the qualities and reactions of people.

Keep Learning. Keep experimenting. Keep surviving.
