The dictionary defines Bullying as intimidating someone or soaking them in fear. But what it really does is play with the mind. And someone with a strong mind can not be played at. A bully gets some great sense of joy and satisfaction in making someone cry or depressed. The voice of the saddened gives them an uproar. The sobs of the grieved awards them pleasure. It really is a matter of concern as to where we are heading? The society that was meant to be civilised and cultured is growing insane with its inhumane behaviour overpowering the virtues. We all live in the online world where we make friends and talk to tons of people. But reality hits hard when we struggle to find someone to help us in moments of distress.
We have taken a long walk from being like animals to becoming humans. But the recent developments actually raise a question on the morals and standards of homo sapiens. The online world that gives us moments of joy is just a facade,an illusion that we live in and think of it as the best place to be. And this is synchronous to a rabbit hole that keeps us hooked on to it. The study at https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1740144522000638 showed the odd relations between humans and delusion and the weird effects social media as a rabbit hole can do.
We behave extraordinarily and put up a great fight in front of social media and fall back to a weak voice in the real world. Can’t we truly figure out that there is some serious issue here. When asked to face people,we do it well until we actually face them. We are shit scared when the responsibility falls on our shoulders. Talking big in the virtual world is an easy task to be true. That’s why it is always said to fear the one who rarely speaks. Planting things is a real thing but, be it anywhere. The world is full of ones who feed on other’s pains and tears. It is actually sitting down to enjoy the show and clap hard. Because the word introspection does not suit them or even sit well with them. Such a word never existed in their dictionary. Their familial terms are bully,torture,comment,mock,flattery and more of this clan. A proper family tree of all the poor words the word definition book wrote can be drawn and put to use.
But apparently, there are things to balance it all too. Every lie brings with it the truth. Not the associated one,not the versionised one but the actual one. And thus as we move to the brink of despair,we also hope that faith and light guards us too.
