Women empowerment, the issue of national importance to stabilize the position of feminine gender in a society. It is a burning issue owing to the increase in the number of crimes against them.
A phrase that said men and women are the two wheels of a community meant that they are equal, but patriarchy suppressed the other one down. The main reason for pushing them backward was illiteracy and their confinement to homes. They have always been treated as ignorant. Though they have had great ideas in their head, there was no way to vent it out. And so the cases against them rose drastically. But then, situations underwent a change when females learnt that they cannot just bear anything and everything. Women have come out in their own support to write a new chapter of courage, bravery, equality and dignity. Every woman is a human first and she deserves it all like the males.
Cooking and homemaking are not easy jobs as addressed, taking care of house and members may be a choice but also need to be acknowledged. A house mum works 24×7 but when asked what she does, “She does not work, She is a housewife.”
Imagine listening to everyone’s wishes, keeping their stuff at the right places, arranging their rooms, taking the load of a house party and then no one comes to ask you how the day was. It hurted, right? You felt bad. But that was the condition and still prevails at many places.
This has overall a negative effect on society. Husbands do not value their wives, children take mothers for granted, and a lot more. The picture that sets up in the mind is of a woman who works for us, looks to our needs and we call her when we have work with her. Doesn’t it resemble a lonely life?
And to combat all of these, women have raised a voice and there are people who are taking incharges too. Males have also come to the forefront who respect their mothers,better halves,sisters and friends. A feminist is not a girl, a boy can also be feminist. And there is no shame in being one. A society that values and respects all genders is the one that thrives in all conditions. A country need not be rich only in terms of finances but also morals and principles. Celebrating women and their importance is as important as throwing a party on the success of the man of the house. Life accounts for the journey together with each other’s support, guidance and inspiration.
We have witnessed women who have fought the social stigmas, dodged the barriers and broken the stereotypes.
Their involvement in matters makes a place better. They are better at handling situations that require thoughtful heads with a touch of emotion. They have uplifted a society to make it a better place for all.
The SHE pronoun is theirs. And she does things not only for herself but for others too. So let’s build a place where she dwells well, an environment where she breathes well and a society where she gets to live well.
